Hello Ladies. Happy Black Friday. Anyone out there shopping? I'm up early thanks to Jud again, so I figured I'd get this going and encourage you all to do the same. In case there's any Thanksgiving day remorse going on. :-)
Here are my numbers for this week.
Weight=163.1 (a .9 lb gain. I went up from 162.2 to 164.4 the day after weigh-ins last week after a perfect day of eating & exercise. I didn't understand why, but I just worked hard all week & hoped it was hormone related??? So I feel good that I am actually down from that. My body does do this thing. When I get to a new low weight it often goes up and down over a week or two. It's like my body can't accept that a new lower weight is where it should be & tries really hard to stay where it was. That happened this summer over a two-month period. I went up and down for several weeks between 174 & 172, then 172 & 170. Frustrating. I had about decided to accept the low 170's as my normal & give the whole thing up. But I have persisted, & look! Three months later I am "almost" 10 pounds lighter. As annoying as it can be, because I have been working at this for a while I do know my body's patterns. So I remind myself to accept them, be happy & keep working. This is all philosophical after a year-long weight loss journey, no scientific proof or anything. And I share it here in this somewhat rambling fashion so you can know that if you experience ups & downs, not to worry. It's life!)
Inches=209.5 (-1.75 loss? And see, strange how I was up in my weight all week, but I am down in my inches! Another good reason to keep plugging away no matter what unexpected oddities may occur. Speaking of oddities, remember how last week I mentioned that I lost a quarter inch from one thigh & not the other? Well, I lost another quarter inch from that same thigh, so now one thigh is officially half inch smaller than the other one. I measured it three times to make sure, giggling all the while. I wonder if the bigger one will ever catch up? Speaking of thighs, I have to also share that when standing with my feet hip-width apart there is a small space between my legs! It's been a while ladies. I already shared that little tidbit with Elise & Sarah at the Turkey Trot yesterday morning, but I decided it's worth sharing twice. And speaking of the Turkey Trot-Elise, Sarah, & I all reached our time goals and set new personal records for our 5K! It was an excellent race!)
On with my report . . .
