I received an email last night that Heidi is withdrawing from the competition. So here are the new standings for this week. Also, Sariah's previous total was a math error on my part. So, my math skills still need some sharpening. I do appreciate if you have any questions or notice any discrepancies that you let me know right away. Thanks!
So congrats go out to Mandy lost 2.6 lbs & 6.25 inches & Leisel was close behind with a 2 lb. loss and an even 6 inches. Third place this week now goes to Tamara with a 2 lb. & 4 inch loss!
Honorable mentions also go out to Elise & Sarah who both lost over 3 inches.
There were so many great efforts this week. Several of you earned all possible points for logging food/exercise/water/sleep/group/&personal goals. I can't seem to get a handle on the sleeping thing myself, but I applaud you all.
The protein challenge is just that eh? challenging! But I hope you'll share successes as well as frustrations with it. Aside from PMS induced munchies yesterday I have noticed much less hunger since starting the challenge this week. Also, I feel less fatigue in the afternoon.
You may notice that our list of participants is a bit shorter this week. The holidays have claimed a few casualties, but we wish all the ladies well who have opted out this past week for sundry reasons.
Our prize money will adjust, since some of the hotties who are no longer with us had not yet paid. So I will figure that out and let you know our new prize money pot this week.
Last order of business is this week's weigh in. Out of those who replied we had a tie--half wanting to change it to Thursday & half wanting to keep it Friday. So, we're sticking with original rules and keeping it Friday. This does mean half of you are bummed right now and I'm sorry. I really hate not being able to make everyone happy.
Seriously though, I think you can enjoy Thanksgiving while staying within your calories for the day. I did it last year. I even measured my gravy and made sure to save enough calories for pumpkin pie with whip cream. Or you can plan to take a day off and not count calories or log food. That's one of the reasons the point system is such that you can get full points for doing things 5 out of 7 days. Whatever will make you happiest. The point of this whole thing is to have fun while supporting one another. So make a plan and stick to it.
Also, one of Bob Harper's skinny rules says you should treat yourself to one cheat meal a week. Thanksgiving seems like an appropriate meal with which to keep that rule.
Love you ladies! Have a protein and fun-filled Thanksgiving week!!!
Thank you so much Heather. The time you are spending on this competition is priceless and appreciated. Thank you! I need this right now and am aware of how the time you spend on this takes away from other family and personal time. Thank you and good luck this week!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

ReplyDeleteWow, people are dropping out like crazy! I hope the rest of us hang on. Just imaging where we all will be by January 13th if don't quit. We can do it!
ReplyDeleteGreat job everyone! Hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteThis week's protein challenge is definitely challenging but I love pushing myself. I don't think I'll get all the points, though, but I am giving it a good effort!!
I have especially been loving my weight watchers meetings, it's a great mid-week check in for me. Along with Friday's weigh-in, I haven't given myself any room to cheat, which has been helpful.
