I am totally having major PMS and went on a chocolate binge earlier this evening. At first I got really frustrated at myself but then I realized that ONE afternoon does NOT sabotage every effort I made. The old me would have given up and would have started eating whatever I want for the rest of the day. Instead, I logged everything I ate, put the chocolate away and decided to move on. It was a huge change in attitude for me. Even though I'm physically feeling yucky I feel like I am back in control, which feels great.
Great job Mandy! Elise & I had a similar conversation just the other day. All the good things you're doing are not negated by one slipup.
ReplyDeleteIt's what you do most of the time that will make the difference. Here's to week 4! Which will put you aheaf of your recent past efforts.
Great job! I have discovered (I'm a late learner) that when I hinge I am actually NOT in control and that's when I lose hope. Its when I have a slip up and say to myself what you have said to yourself that I realize my mind has changed and I AM in control. So awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. A good attitude is essential in life.
