Week 2

I am really disappointed with my week 2 performance. I was hoping to step it up from my abysmal week one performance, but instead I found myself having even less time to put towards exercising. (This week was parent teacher conferences at work and I have a biology test tonight that I've been *trying* to study for.)

I know that my only option is to wake up earlier and exercise first thing in the morning. I used to do that back in April and May of last year and I absolutely loved it. I have never been good at getting up early in the morning, but once I pulled myself out of bed and actually made myself exercise I could feel good about it for the whole entire day. I need to remember that feeling instead of focusing on how painful it is to wake up for a 5:30 alarm.

Oh, and the group challenge next week? It's going to kill me. Coke Zero is my best friend and constant companion (even though I've been consuming far less than usual because of the 64 ounces of water requirement). I'll need some serious will-power to go 5 days without it!

  1. Getting up early is so hard! Whenever my alarm goes off I always wonder if I could come up with a good excuse to sleep in!

I love a nice cold Coke Zero too. But I MOSTLY kicked the habit last round (I still have one or two sodas a week). I actually am sleeping better and just feel better in general....so I felt it was worth the initial withdrawals.

  2. Maybe you don't have to go 5 days. Go a few days, then enjoy one. Then go a couple more days. :-)

I used to be a full time classroom teacher, so I feel your pain regarding the busy crazy week and parent conferences! Good work!

  3. Here is a secret weapon for you, crystal light energy. It has as much caffeine as a pop. I love it!!!

  4. I had the same thoughts when I saw the upcoming weekly goal, because I just finished this as my personal goal for last week. I made it 6 out of the 7 days without soda. It was hard at first, but with the amount of water we are required to drink, it wasn't as difficult as I thought. Good Luck! You can do it!!

I loved Heathers suggestion above and I didn't even know crystal light energy existed, thank you Megan!
