| I was taking the picture of my water bottle to post, & Jud thought I was taking it of him. Lucky for ya'll you get a baby saying cheese to look at as well. |
| I wonder if we'll ever capture Jud's real smile again, or just his "Cheese"? |
I leave a blue cup in my bathroom. When I wake up in the morning and go to the bathroom I fill it up at least half way and gulp it down. That's 16 oz. already done!
Once I'm up, dressed and getting ready for the day I fill up my Nalgene to take with me while I exercise, (if I'm not going for a run or if I am having to run on the dreadmill rather than outside, typo intended). I find that I have often already drunk 8 more oz. by the time I get to my workout, because I drink some of it in the car. So my total for the day is at 24 oz.
By the time my workout is over I've usually finished the rest of my bottle, or I have around 8-12 oz. left that I will drink before I eat my breakfast once I get home. So, I've drunk 48 oz by the time breakfast is over.
As you can probably imagine, getting 16 more oz. throughout the rest of the day is really easy. Most of the time I get more than that, because I'll fill my Nalgene up again and after breakfast and keep it in the kitchen. When I find myself in there with the munchies my water is sitting on the counter so I drink some before I search for a snack and then decide if I'm really hungry or not. Often times I can bypass a snack after I've had a couple swigs of water. I'll drink from it when I have lunch as well. I love that the ounces are marked on there because I know how much I've drunk throughout the day.
When we leave in the afternoon to pick up big sister from school and start our piano/dance lessons, team practices, errands, etc. I bring my Nalgene with me in the car. When I forget it, I am irritated, because there are times I get thirsty and don't have any water. I bet that happens to most of you. You don't have water with you when you are thirsty. If you get in the habit of having a water bottle with you all the time then you'll find yourself drinking more. I actually started this habit when I was a full time school teacher. I kept a water bottle on my desk in the classroom.
After I wash my face and brush my teeth in the evening, there's my blue cup in the bathroom to get a drink from before I go to bed.
So, go get yourself a sturdy water bottle and make it your best friend. You'll be well-hydrated, regular, less hungry, and happy. And for the next seven weeks you'll even get points for it.
Oh my goodness I want to pinch Jud's cheeks!
ReplyDeleteGood tips for water consumption...one of our upcoming challenges will be about water consumption...dun dun DUN!
I LOVE big cups! I also have a huge water bottle that I take with me. It is one of those giant one's from the hospital when I had Darren. Hopefully I don't get sick and die from mold or something...it is going on 3 years...yikes.
ReplyDeleteAnyways...go water!
Ha, I do the same thing, but with a disposable water bottle (because my kids are kinda hard on water bottles). My goal is usually to drink it all before 3pm so I'm not up to the bathroom all night.
ReplyDeleteOne of my little brothers has a dedicated photo face. Pictures of him with a different face are a valuable commodity. :)
