I wanted to wait until I had a chance to take a photo before my intro, but I have seem to run out of time. So, here it goes without the photo...
Hi, I'm Keri. 35. Wife. Mother of two. Work full time (instructional assistant at East Memorial Elementary). School part time. Roller derby the rest of the time.
I joined this challenge because I gained back the 20 pounds I lost last spring after doing the "Insanity" workout. (Work has been extremely stressful this year and I ate junk food in abundance to cope.) I want to be healthy, feel more energetic, and get back the arms and abs I had last spring. I am off to an extremely slow start, but I look forward to working hard during this challenge and getting to know you all!
I remember your buff arms! (never saw the abs, but I believe you!) I would have never guessed you gained 20 lbs though, you carry your weight very well I have to say!
ReplyDeleteI borrowed Nite's copy of Insanity for a couple days to try and loved it! I just wish it wasn't so crazy expensive. I'm trying to decide if it's worth asking for for my birthday or if I can get the bod I want without it...
Anyway, I'm glad you decided to be part of the challenge. You'll do awesome!
Welcome, Iggy! I had to think who the heck is Keri from Roller Derby for a second ?!? ;) I am trying to lose the 17 lbs I put on during Nursing school, after quitting derby. Here's to losing the lbs., being healthy and back to derby!
ReplyDeleteAll the love you girls have makes me want to join Roller Derby, except it scares me. I don't like pain! I mean I can handle running pain and soreness, but getting scratched and bruised . . . I don't know!
ReplyDeleteAnyway . . .I do Insanity two or three times a week as cross training and I love/hate it! I actually have ab muscles you can see, well you can't see them, but I can see them. :-D
Welcome!
