Good Morning Ladies!
I hope you are well and enjoying this beautiful Colorado weather! I know people think that I am a little crazy, but I truly enjoy all four seasons that Colorado offers us and I truly enjoyed the snow that we received. It was an amazing drive in this morning to work with the sun touching the peaks of the mountain tops and the blue tint that still marked the lower mountains in the early hours of the morning. It was truly beautiful.
Onto my weekly update:
I lost my motivation to work out this week... It has been so cold in the evenings that all I want to do is cuddle up under a blanket and watch TV with my hubby at night. I know that I could pop in a video and workout, but honestly laying next to my handsome hubby, watching TV sounds so much better in that moment. Does anyone else struggle with this when it is so cold outside? If you do, what do you do to get out of the cycle of winter laziness?
Sometimes it helps me keep it in perspective if I think about what a small fraction of my day a 30, 45, or even hour-long workout is. I know when I am struggling with motivation it's because I have let the thing I need to do, but don't want to, become bigger than it really is. So think of it as no big deal, and then get her done. Maybe?
ReplyDeleteLet us know how it goes this week!
So I found with myself the longer I wait to exercise the harder it gets...last night my husband didn't get home until 9 and it was a long day...I still needed to get all of my workout in. I was totally not motivated, just wanted to watch TV with my husband too. I found this workout online that you can do at home...jumping jacks, push-ups, wall sits, etc. So while we caught up on 2 episodes of The Office I did the exercises. Probably not the best workout ever, but at least it was something. It would have been even better if I could have had my husband do it with me, but he sat on the couch and ate a chocolate cookie and timed my wall sits!
