This past week I have had the goal of getting farther in my bike ride. My goal of 14 miles took me 90 min the first day and yesterday I made it 16 miles in an hour and 1 min. Setting a good pace and limiting my interruptions were important. It has also helped to have Alias playing while I ride. The intense music help me ride a little faster and adjusting the tension on the stationary bike helps me burn away the calories.
I learned while I was working out with my sisters that running on a tread-mil is very different from running on the road and I am sure bike riding is the same way. I am looking forward to warmer weather and a real ride outside. I imagine that the 130 pounds of kids in a trailer will intensify the work out a bit.
It's fun to change things up and set a goal for distance instead of time or pace instead of distance. Good on ya'. I hope to get a bike this Spring, so we can find some great paths together.
