Sayonara Sisters!

I'm going here-
Tomorrow!

We lived in Manhattan for 6 years, so it's like going home and on vacation! I will be declining the sugar challenge. Sorry girls, any other week I'd be on board, but I have been looking forward to my NYC treats for a year! I already committed to myself that I would prioritize and choose my favorites and only have one a day. I thought that was pretty darn good.

Some of the delicious treats I will eat this week:
  • The best cookie in the world!
  • The best donut in the world!
  • The best cream puff in the world!
  • The best drinking chocolate in the world!
  • The best cheesecake in the world!
So, that's five, one for each day. I haven't decided which thing I'll have on which day, but oh baby baby!  And maybe I haven't tried every cookie in the world, so that's an exaggeration and it's more accurate to say the best donut I've ever had. But you get the idea! Quality goodies await me! Maybe it's mean of me to post this and have all of you thinking about eating some of the best treats in the world, when you can't even have crappy treats this week, sorry . . . (evil laugh).

You'll all get 10 more points than me for sure this week. Congratulations! There's the upside.

I probably won't be blogging much this week, but know that I'm on your side and think you're all awesome for working hard and doing hard things. That is something I really learned how to do in New York. It was a refiner's fire, which is probably why I love it so much. The years we spent there really changed me and helped me become who I am. And though there were times I wanted to cry with fatigue as I clomped up the stairs of my walk-up apartment carrying a stroller with a 30 pound toddler and however many pounds of groceries hanging off the handles, there were too many vibrant fulfilling friendships and experiences to ever resent it.

It can be applied to our goals for healthy living. Hard things are worth doing. We learn from them, we grow from them, and they change us. Usually for the better.

Happy week my friends! I'll enjoy my treats extra for you!
