I was really excited about the sugar free challenge because I can rock the low carb lifestyle for weeks...three weeks at a time, so to speak. Then princess week comes and I find I've lost all resolve to stick to anything. Sadly, it's come again, so not eating sugar has been a little more challenging than I anticipated, but they make sugar free chocolate so I made it! And I can already tell a difference!
Today was a Sister Day for me and we ended up having dessert for dinner at The Chocolate Cafe in FoCo. I ate about four bites of chocolate lava cake and then a bite of everyone else's dessert and then was completely satisfied. So much so that I am literally sitting in bed with an open Godiva chocolate bar next to me (left to me by a sister after I drove her home) that I don't want. That's...pretty exciting. For me. :)
(For those of you who have heard the sister stories....yup, M- wet her pants laughing. At the cafe, so you might want to give them a day or two before going yourself. :)
Way to go you on that no carb lifestyle! I found myself missing bread even more than chocolate this week!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing...who gets excited about no sugar?! Go you!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is amazing! Having chocolate in the house, or any treat for that matter, makes my self control VERY hard to maintain! Most of the time I have my husband hide it from me! Ha!
ReplyDeleteThere is a Chocolate Café in Fort Collins? And we've never gone together? What the? Let's make a Friend Date!!!
