hungry

Seriously. I HATE feeling hungry. If I am eating the right amounts for me to lose weight, I am hungry. Really. I am. People say, "you shouldn't feel hungry". "Eat several small meals." Ha! That is NOT how my body works. If I feel 'full' I have eaten too much. If I want to lose weight - a good portion of my day I feel hungry. I wish I could just exist hungry and not get cranky or anxious. Well. I don't! I don't like the feeling of being hungry and it is a challenge for me to work through it and past that pain during my work of the day. Ah well. Any suggestions or help? Does anyone else feel hungry most of the time while trying to lose weight?

I gotta say I am pretty nervous for this last week! I have my son's birthday, plus driving to Utah, plus running the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay! AHHH!!! I am going to keep at it though and try to keep track of my points along the way! I sure appreciate all your support on this journey! Good luck on the last week ladies! We are ROCKIN' it!!! Keep up the GREAT work!!

  1. I find if I am eating a lot of vegetables I feel full and I am generally staying within my calorie goals. Remember the cleanse baked potato? With a good bunch of steamed veggies on top, fresh tomatoes, etc. And since it's not the cleanse you can have some salt too! I would feel totally full after that meal, and it's packed with all kinds of good stuff, fiber, vitamins.

Also, that's one of the reasons for water. It helps fill you up too. And what about some green smoothies? I can barely finish a whole serving sometimes.

The trick really is to have stuff around that's ready to eat, and have it be things you want to eat. When I'm eating more vegetables I feel full, but I also burn through them faster, so I need more snacks. I love a handful of raw almonds. A whole apple and a tablespoon of peanut butter. I feel full when I eat that. Especially if I have a big glass of water with it.

Veggies and hummus, cottage cheese with fruit or veggies. And make sure you're spreading your calories out throughout the day.
