Happy Easter weekend to everyone! Hope you are all having a great week...yay for the nice spring weather today!
Today I wanted to blog about the Bountiful Basket food co-op (in case there is someone reading that hasn't heard about it before).
Basically, you pay $15 to get a laundry basket full of fresh fruits and vegetables. The Bountiful Basket is available on Saturdays, you pick it up alternating between Eaton and Johnstown. Their website answers all questions about how it works, check it out here: Bountiful Baskets
I started buying the Bountiful Baskets in January, and it has been awesome! You never know what is going to be in the basket so it forces me to try new recipes and be a little more creative in the kitchen. I know my boys have had more vegetables in their diet than ever before. Also their 9 grain bread is amazing...it costs $12 for 5 loaves...it has no additives (just a little organic honey)!
I think it is a great, healthy bargain...so thought I would pass it on!

almost done!
Hey ladies! I hope everyone had a good week. We're almost done. I can't believe how fast these weeks have gone. Easter is here and i get to spend it in Utah with family. Couldn't be more thankful! Have a safe and wonderful holiday and may all your desserts be calorie free!
Something to add
I have wondered all week what I would contribute to this here ol' blog, but I gotta tell you - I got nothin'. I am just doing my best to do what is right and good and healthy and all that jazz. I wish I had something profound and wonderful to add, but I just don't.
I DO want to say THANK YOU to Heather for her inspiration this week. I loved the portion of the talk from Elder Holland you posted. WOW. I really needed that. I hope ALL of us gals read it and re-read it!!! He really knows what he is talking about!
I am striving for a healthy and happy lifestyle. I've had a few down days this week - but overall - I am one happy gal. I hope all of you are having a wonderful week. I am hoping the days get warmer and our hearts and minds are not weary from the cares of life.

Some Thoughts on Beauty
It feels like I've been gone so long! I blogged on the first day of last week, and now almost the last day of this week, so I apologize for my absence. I have been reading your posts when notification comes to my inbox and I'm super impressed that you are still going strong.
I passed on the group challenge last week, thank you NYC for the amazing treats of delectable goodness. I would like to report that I did keep to my personal goal of one treat a day, except for one day. I was AWESOME! And the cookies, donuts, cheesecake, drinking chocolate, and frozen custard were delicious.
I am having a vacation hangover, but I have loved the group challenge this week. It worked out really well because the friend I normally do Insanity with bought a new workout system called Peak 10. You can learn more about it here. We did two different workouts Monday and Wednesday and it pretty much kicked my butt. He learned about it from a friend who had checked them out from the library and they both decided they liked it enough to buy it. I really like it. It's kind of a combination of Insanity and Billy Blanks and P90X. It's complicated enough to keep your mind occupied, but not so complicated that you can't keep up. Well, except for the end of the last repetition circuit, then I have a hard time keeping up.
So if you want to use that lovely idea to find out what workouts you enjoy, it's a good one. Check them out from the library (or borrow them from Sariah) then decide if you want to invest.
Anyhoo, I have had some other thoughts this week as well. Just regarding health and fitness goals. It's great to have goals you're working toward, but try not to get down on yourself. Love your body and all that it can do.
This isn't coming out of nowhere.

Happy Depression Wednesday!
So, since it's depression Wednesday and I couldn't take being at home today, I went on a hunt for new pants. The good news is that I can comfortably wear a size 18 now (I was squeezing into a 22 back in November). The bad news is that the current low-rise-ish style is not very flattering on my body, so my search was unsuccessful.
I did, however, buy a foam roller that I'm really excited about. I have been using one at the gym for several weeks now and I adore it. No more tense muscles at night for me!

Discouraged, but still going
I have been following this diet: http://thevirgindiet.com/ for a week and a half (minus Sat and Sun). I feel like I've been completely, totally depriving myself which was okay at first cause I lost 4 pounds. But after gaining it back and feeling really depressed and extremely discouraged, not to mention STARVING, I know I need to find a happy medium between giving up EVERYTHING I love to eat and being responsible with my food choices. Also, I have got to make myself work out first thing in the morning. It makes me burn more calories all day long and keeps me more mindful of what I eat ("Do I really want to have this piece of cake that will negate my morning workout?"). I am feeling really beat down and part of me wants to say screw this and go eat a gallon of ice cream. But I'll try again tomorrow and keep pushing because summer is coming and my bathing suit is not getting any bigger.
